Hi Fellow Collectors, A friend has a m1903 SA 1929 with 1930 barrel
also with a Thai chakra stamping high on barrel shank, can any one offer info/input
and maybe good pic of chakra mark ??, would this Rifle have been Loaned out
No import markings, Thanks
I know there’s brief mention made (with photos) about the Chakra marked ‘03 in one of my reference books but I’m having trouble remembering which one. I don’t think it’s the Canfield book. Perhaps Brophy’s.
I’ll give it some more thought and check the book shelves. If I can find what I’m thinking of I’ll scan and post the relevant section.
A M1903A4 with Chakra marking was picked up at a gun show in the early 1980s. Slight signs of use, totally correct. No one knew what the mark was at the time.
