Last year Brad Simpson while visiting Emil Rueggs' shop in Schwanden, bought 2 K31s that they restored. One was sold on the Simpson LTD website and I grabbed the other one. The serial number dates it to 1939 and being a condition collector I had to have this beautiful example of their workmanship. Brad told me Rueggs' shop does a lot of custom work, rebarreling and the like, and they do a few K31s like this every year. I always buy a new firearm around the 4'th of July to celebrate the freedom we have here. I've owned a few minty Swiss rifles but this one is probably as close to new as I will ever get.
That would be quite unethical. The other one that Simpson LTD did sell off their website clearing stating it was a restoration. I believe they priced it at $1195 and it sold in minutes.
