Antagony, Sell is not in my vocabulary, buy certainly is and trade or give comes up occasionally. When it comes to my Star, FN Hi Power, Llama, Colt SAA, Winchester lever rifles and carbines and S&W ( probably others as well) give and trade do not apply. I have had a lot of fun gathering all the rifles and pistols in my three safes and five safes next door and shoot them often.

Who do I have to kill to get that beauty? If 44-40 I would sell my kids.

    Yes it is a 44-40.

Never owned a large frame lightning but most of small and medium frame models seem have feeding problems, they can be picked up cheap at gun shows as fixer uppers.

Adondebaes, The photo is of my limited edition engraved AWA repro in 38 Special, have an all blue one in 45 Colt but alas no original 44-40 carbines. Is the photo of something you can get?
The 38 Special works just fine, I use the deer horn to push the cartridges into the mag tube. The 45 is more picky with ammo and is no where near as reliable as the engraved one.
