Hi junker! (As German perhaps pronounced "J" as English "Y", or...?
) Sorry I'd missed your beauty here! Noting the "double "T"s. Target hammer & trigger! Common to the 29 series, but once in a while, missing in a specimen and such ordinarily a knock in value. Really nice gun there!
Dan, the 24-3 as I recall the mid eighties recreation of the Model 24, .44 Special handgun. Offered in 4" & 6.5", in blue. I have one of each! Assume your scoped model is the 6.5" Frankly, wouldn't be my style but to each...
Staffy, as I read your Post, the 29 magnaported... Making some sense. That and a Model 28, Highway Patrolman, Scoped? If so, again assuming the 6.5" barrel. Guess I'm too old fashioned! Really! In 'business sense', self defeating re "carry". In long range sense, to presume the objective, such application 'rifle territory'. Yet as 'fun gun'... Go for it!
Just to add a general perception that, for me, the 44 Mag chambering in a handgun, something of a conundrum. About too much power save for truly atypical situations. That power expressed in gun weight consequence, in blast & in recoil. Special 'management' considerations. Not in firing, but in doing so 'accurately'!
"Dirty Harry" created much of the popular market and now "truly knowledgeable" gun folks, need to have at least one... Right! My excuse x 2! Maybe the chambering appropriate for those living/venturing into 'bear country'. But here in So Cal beach community, hardly needed for local 'bare country'!
And... Last but not least. CL with question concerning saying "To vote with one's feet"; some permutation of such. Representing a circumstance where no good/satisfactory solution available to remain in certain situation/locale, etc. As suggesting only viable personal solution. As unable to remove the problem from yourself; to otherwise remove yourself from the problem.
Just now... "Out to lunch!"
Best & Keep Safe!
John
